The seminar will give information about the Turkish Startup Ecosystem. Firstly, the state of the ecosystem will be explained, improvement during the 10-year period will be shown, and also investment amounts, exits, incubation programs will be analyzed in detail together. Afterwards, major players and stakeholders of the ecosystem and their importance will be discussed. The latest studies in Turkish entrepreneurship literature will be summarized. Finally possible cooperations between German and Turkish Startup Ecosystems will be mentioned.
Prof. Dr. Gülüzar KURT GÜMÜŞ has expertise in finance and entrepreneurship. She works in Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Business in İzmir-Turkey as head of the Department of International Trade and Business. She has been giving training and mentorship in incubation programs for more than ten years. She had experience at Dokuz Eylül University Technopark Corporation as a board member. She has her own companies: one gives consultancy services related to financial management and entrepreneurial finance and the other one works in the performance marketing field for entrepreneurs.
