Big data and disruptive breakthroughs in ML and AI have great potential to improve community health and alleviating biases in health care. This workshop focuses on (community) health and patient journeys from the perspectives of data science, computer science and engineering. It aims to initiate (DFG-funded) cooperation projects between researchers from the Florida A & M University and HSBI. One purpose is to form research groups of scientists from both institutions on topics like modeling anomaly detection in a smart home environment, LLM-supported discharge management and outpatient care, pathways to improving patient journeys, mitigating biases in health care, data security.
