This lecture aims to provide a comparative analysis of social entrepreneurship and social management in Bulgaria and Germany. In particular, the concept of social entrepreneurship and its legal framework in both countries are discussed. Good practice examples from Bulgaria and Germany are presented. Similarities and differences of social entrepreneurship in both countries are discussed on the basis of a case study involving the audience.
Dr. Rossitsa Simeonova is an Associate Professor of Social Work Management at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Her research interests are related to quality management, leadership and organizational culture, change management, educational evaluation, and child rights. She has been a consultant of UNICEF Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Ministry of Education. She is a member of the editorial boards of several social work magazines and of the managing boards of the Bulgarian Association of Social Work Education, FICE Bulgaria, and the Network for innovations in education.
